Is Matchday free?
Yes — free includes one live tournament, and viewers never need an account to follow it. Need extra live tournaments, a private (unlisted) page, or goal scorers? Unlock a single tournament for €4.99 or go Pro for unlimited.
Do players need to sign up to view the tournament?
No. The public page is read-only and open to anyone with the link — perfect for sharing in a WhatsApp group.
What formats are supported?
Round-robin groups with automatic standings, single-elimination knockout for 4, 8, 16, or 32 teams (byes handled), and hybrid (groups → knockout) where the bracket is seeded from the group standings.
Can team captains enter scores?
Yes. Set a captain email per team and they can submit their match scores — applied instantly (trust) or held for your approval. Captains can also report a walkover.
How are standings calculated?
Automatically from your results: points, goal difference, goals for, then head-to-head. You can change the points rule (default 3 / 1 / 0).
Can I run a draw automatically?
Yes — draw groups at random or drag teams in by hand, and seed the knockout bracket manually if you prefer.
Does it work on phones?
Matchday is mobile-first. Standings and the bracket are designed to look great on a phone and to be screenshot-worthy for sharing.
Which sports does it support?
